What's the name of that track with the air raid siren in it I can't find it on any of the albums??

The track is called 'Post Punk Progression' and is the b-side to the 2004 single 'Run'. The song was co-written by Skint Records Cut Le Roc, with Snow Patrol appearing on an early recorded version on his 2001 'Le Roc Rocs' LP. It has long been a live favourite with fans worldwide and looks continue to be a main stay in the set.

What Festivals will the you be playing this Summer?

The band are currently not confirmed for any festivals at the moment. Again all forthcoming shows are posted in the tour section as and when we get them, with registered members of the site being informed via email when we get the information..

Where can i find the lyrics to your album(s)?

Lyrics are currently unavailable but we will be adding the very soon indeed, check back in the middle of April.

What is the bands Nationality?

Although the band was actually formed in Dundee during their university days in the mid nineties, non of the original 3 members are actually from Scotland.

Gary Lightbody, Jonny Quinn & Mark McClelland are all from Bangor in Northern Ireland but lived/live in Glasgow and fast became heroes in the Glasgow Music Scene. In 2002 the 3-piece was joined by a second guitarist Nathan Connolly from Belfast.

After the departure of Mark in 2005, SP added Scot Paul Wilson on Bass and long-time collaborator Tom Simpson, originally from Dundee, Scotland.

Where did the name 'Snow Patrol' come from?

SP were originally called Polar Bear but had to change their name due to the Jane's Addiction bassist also having a side project called Polar Bear.

The name Snow Patrol came from a friend of the band who while called Polar Bear always referred to the group as Snow Patrol.

When the time to change the name came it was logical step.

Where was the video for 'Open Your Eyes' shot?

The video for the single was actually shot in Paris; however it was not shot especially for 'Open Your Eyes'.

The footage for the promo is taken from "C’était un Rendezvous", a cult-classic short film made in Paris in 1976 by French filmmaker Claude Lelouch.

This is the first time in it’s 30 year history that Lelouch has granted permission to use the footage, though many have tried to acquire the rights to use this beautiful, hair-raising piece of film.

More information on the film can be found at www.spiritlevelfilm.com.
